If you are ready to provide a positive learning experience by offering an internship, this event is for you! If you've ever worked with an intern, you know how much time goes into posting your internship listing, promoting it, perusing the applications you get (if any) and setting up interviews. This event provides a simple and efficient way to get the word out about your internship while meeting with many possible interns in under two hours.

You are invited to a special round of Speed Networking with Rasmussen College students who are seeking multimedia and internet marketing-focused summer internships.

The multimedia students generally have the software competencies listed below. They have course work in print, web, video, animation, and a small amount of interactive.
  • Solid: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro
  • Working: Flash, After Effects, Dreamweaver
  • Animation students will also have introductory skills with 3ds Max (a 3D modeling/animation tool)
  • Specific internship projects that would be a good fit for multimedia students:
    • Print advertisements
    • Brochures
    • Web banners
    • Web page layouts
    • Magazine spreads
    • Promotional video/short commercial
    • Bumpers/idents (especially for students with 3D skills)
The internet marketing students take the following specialization classes for their Bachelor's program (in addition to a strong core management curriculum):
  • Internet Marketing Specialization
  • E-Commerce
  • Search Engine Marketing
  • Advanced Search Engine Marketing Strategies
  • Marketing and Web Analytics
  • Law and E-Commerce
  • Website Development for Business
  • Specific projects that would be a good fit for internet marketing students:
    • Social media marketing plan
    • Database/e-commerce launch
    • email marketing plan
    • Search engine optimization

Through the Speed Networking format, you will meet lots of students in a short amount of time. You'll share the basics of what you are looking for in an intern and the students will be able to share what they are seeking in an internship. You'll also have the chance to network with the other business professionals during the informal networking.
